Here comes the sun, do-do-do-do-doo, here comes the sun and I say…. Whoa you guys are always catching me singing! It’s Christine Sclafani and I want to talk to you a little about how weed influenced possibly most famous rock band in history, The Beatles.
In particular one Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney. As the story goes, Bob Dylan introduced the band to weed and Paul really took to it. Supposedly his first wife, Linda Eastman, loved weed too and the two of them spent most of their days together stoned.
Paul does not smoke as much anymore but from 1972 through 1984 he was arrested 5 different times for marijuana possession in different countries each time. He was arrested in Sweden, Japan, Los Angeles, Scotland and Barbados. Can you imagine that? I mean the guy must have smoked weed all over the world. Anyways, if you love the Beatles, then you probably have weed to thank for a lot of their amazing creativity.
