As you are now aware, cannabis establishments will remain open until further notice. This includes cultivation facilities, production facilities, distributors, independent testing facilities, retail stores and medical dispensaries.

The Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) fully expects this industry to lead by example by initiating and adhering to the most stringent health and safety protocols for both consumers and employees. The MED encourages each establishment to familiarize themselves once again with the CDC guidelines for proper social distancing and hygiene found here.

Further Guidance

Cultivation facilities, production facilities, distributors, and independent testing facilities should continue to operate while following strict social distancing guidelines as part of the necessary cannabis supply chain operations.

Retail stores and medical dispensaries MUST NOT allow individuals to congregate inside stores OR outside in lines. You know what is best for your location and are expected to take the proper precautions and develop proper protocols to deal with consumer demand. Patient consultations should be limited to phone or video only.

Curbside pickup WILL NOT be permitted at this time.

All efforts should be taken to encourage consumers to utilize delivery services. To assist licensees in meeting any increased demand in delivery services, the MED has developed the below process for “virtual” vehicle inspections for temporary cannabis delivery vehicle identification cards.

The MED appreciates your commitment to the health and safety of Nevadans during these unprecedented times.
